Abstract
Total knee replacement (TKR) is a common procedure that entails severe postsurgical trauma, prolonged hsopitalization, and impaired patient rehabilitation, especially in patients who are Aged. Among the nonpharmacologic methods used with TKR, auriculotherapy/ear acupuncture (AEA) has recently shown a favorable effect on perioperative/postoperative pain and disability in patients who have undergone TKR.
