Abstract

Primary dysmenorrhea occurs in 40-50% of women of reproductive age. Acupuncture may assist in treatment of menstrual pain. This study compared the effects of the acupuncture program Chongmai, or Thoroughfare Vessel (TV), to sham acupuncture on primary dysmenorrhea.
