Abstract

Gastralgia is a common medical symptom and often seen in acute and chronicgastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastric neurosis and other medical conditions. Clinical manifestations of gastralgia due to deficiency and cold are dull persistent upper abdominal pain, loss of appetite, watery vomiting that canbe relieved by pressure, warmth or eating food but aggravated by hunger and cold. We have treated 30 cases with gastralgia due to deficiency and cold by using Zhao's thunder-fire moxibustion according to the theory of "treating cold syndrom with warm methods."
