Abstract

Sciatica is a syndrome mainly maifested by pain in sciatic nerves and their distributed areas. It easily relapses with complicated causes. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) holds that sciatica is caused by contraction of pathogens such as wind-cold or damp-heat, belonging to the scope of Bi-impediment syndrome or lumbago. [Switzerland] is located in the North Temperate Zone with extremely cold winter. Lots of patients have got sciatica because of contracting cold after skiing and perspiration. The author has empoyed warm needling therapy for treating sciatica in [Switzerland].
