Abstract
After abdominal surgery, multiple reasons may cause functional gastrointestinal disorders, which disturb the recovery of the patients, and it usually takes 2-4 days to heal, therefore it is necessary to shorten the disorder duration and activate the movement of the bowel. We have used acupuncture at lower He-Sea point to enhance the restoration of gastrointestinal function after abdominal surgery and compared its results with a control group.
