Abstract
This short article documents two recent institutional development achieved by acupuncture profession: The Veterans Administration (VA) has added acupuncture professionals to its new employment handbook; The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has created an independent occupational code for acupuncturists. The influence of these two developments on acupuncture profession is briefly discussed.
