Abstract

Based on the systematical arrangement from two aspects of the development history in the world and the lastest global research progress of cupping therapy, it is found that cupping therapy is not only a part of traditional Chinese medicine, but also the important constituent part of traditional medicine in various countries in the world. Cupping therapy had been recorded as early as in ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient India and other regions, and has been widely used up to now. It has also spread to the United States, and modern developed countries in Europe, and has always been favored by the people around the world. Cupping therapy is the common wealth of world traditional medicine.
