Abstract

The practice of Zhineng qigong 3 times a week for 1 hour for 12 weeks resulted in statistically significant reductions in glucose levels and body weight in diabetic patients with acquired visual disability. The students in the interviews reported having better moods, greater vitality, better concentration, better posture, and less pain. Under medical supervision, three of the students began to reduce their doses of injected insulin. The students’ blood pressure did not change.
