Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effect of combined acupuncture and medication for osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Methods: A total of 100 cases with postmenopausal osteoporosis were randomly allocated into a treatment group and a control group, 50 in each group. The cases in the treatment group were treated with electroacupuncture coupled with Calcitriol soft capsules, while the cases in the control group were treated with electroacupuncture alone. Results: There were significant differences in treatment effects between the treatment group and control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Combined acupuncture and medication can obtain a marked effect for postmenopausal osteoporosis
