Abstract
There has ling been a controversy whether forbidden points truly exist, or if they have any bearing in contemporary practice. This study used literature review synthesis method to examine the application of acupuncture at the "forbidden points" for low back pain and pelvic pain in pregnancy. This study addresses the potential implications of needling the forbidden points during pregnancy.
