Abstract

Objective: to find the best scheme of acupuncture treatment for ischemic stroke. Methods: 300 patients having suffered an ischemic stroke were randomly divided into a body acupuncture group, a scalp and body acupuncture group1, and a scalp and body acupuncture group2. There were 100 cases for each group, and the efficacy was compared after 5 courses' of treatment. Results: the curative effect of scalp and body acupuncture group2 was 75.5%, scalp and body acupuncture group1 61.6%, and the body acupuncture group rate was 42%. The curative effect of the two scalp and body acupuncture groups were better than the other two groups. ( P < 0.05, P < 0.01) Conclusion: compared with routine body acupuncture, scalp and body interval acupuncture can better improve clinical efficacy.
