Abstract

Objective: to investigate the clinical reliability of yuan-source point acupuncture in the treatment of 136 cases of apoplexy sequela. Methods: 272 cases were randomly divided into a treatment group (136) and a control group (136). The treatment group was treated with yuan-source point acupuncture, using reducing manipulation in the acute phase and reinforcing method combined with moxibustion in the recovery phase. The control group was treated by conventional acupuncture according to syndrome differentiation. Both groups were treated once a day, 30 min each time, with 10 days defined as one course of treatment. Results: in the treatment group, 28 cases were cured (20.58%); 102 cases were improved (75%); 6 cases had no improvement (4.42%). The total efficiency was 95.48%. In the control group, 12 cases were cured (8.82%); 71 cases improved (52.21%); 53 cases had no improvement (38.97%), the total efficiency was 61.03%. Conclusion: Yuan-source point acupuncture had a significant efficacy in treating apoplexy sequela and has clinical application.
