Abstract
Essential hypertension (EH) is a series disease that affects human health and quality of life. In recent years, the incidence of this disease has risen. Modern medical research of this disease has been more in-depth, but there is still much controversy. Treatment of EH by acupuncture at Renying (ST 9) has a positive effect and because of its simplicty, convenient operation, safety, as well as being an inexpensive treatment alternative without any toxicity or side effects, it has become widely accepted. It is a natural therapy, worthy of clinical promotion.
