Abstract

After the acute symptoms of respiratory tract infection disappear, cough is still not cured, which is called "postinfectious cough." The cough caused by virus infection is the most common clinically. Post-cold cough is usually self-limited, and it can be relieved spontaneously, but long-term, frequent, and acute cough may seriously affect the work, life, and social activities of patients. In western medicine, post-cold cough is usually treated symptomatically, with poor efficacy and side effects. During the recent six months, acupuncture combined with acupoint injection was applied in our department of 25 cases of post-cold cough.
