Allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease. Tropical corticosteroids are first-line therapy for ACD although these agents can induce significant adverse effects. Acupuncture has been widely used to treat various skin diseases, but it's underlying mechanism remains unrevealed.
