Abstract

Acute lumbar sprain refers to an acute injury of lumbar muscle, fascia, ligaments, or the small intervertebral joints, and is manifested by lower back pain and limited movement. It is a common lumbar disorder in young adults. The author had observed the clinical effects of combining tuina method from Ding's Rolling Technique, tendon-soothing and spasm-relieving, and the moving joint manipulations, restitution, and dredging collaterals on acute lumbar sprain, between January 2008 and November 2009.
