Abstract

Herpes zoster is an infection skin disease caused by the Varicella virus. The Varicella virus has an affinity for the nerves. After it enters the human body, it can remain latent for a long time in neurons of the dorsal root ganglia of the spine. When immunity is lowered, such as when a person catches a cold, the virus may start to reproduce, destroy nerves and skin, and finally cause inflammation. 100 patients with herpes zoster were selected from October 2012 to October 2013. They were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 50 cases each. Patients in the control group were treated with Western medicine treatment, and the observation group were given acupuncture and moxibustion.
