Abstract

From the very first year of my introduction of T’ai Chi Ch’uan (taijiquan) in the late 1990s, I have diligently practiced and studied all I could while I continued on in my career in the food and wine industry to provide for my family, sporadically instructing and passing on my knowledge to whoever had an interest. As my interest grew, I studied with various teacher, instructors, and Sifu, learning different family forms and styles. As always, each teacher would use one posture or another in starting me off with Qigong. So, as I practiced and learned new and different postures and styles, I became more and more convinced that Qigong, was my source of intense energy, concentration and healthy demeanor. Interestingly enough, at that time, I never dreamed that when I retired, I would be struck with more enthusiasm and desire to learn more. Investing more time and reinvigorating my life I became more interested in studies of books, videos, and in finding several new teachers.
