Abstract
The well-known Chinese medicine teacher Yu Shun-Chen recorded this. Once they came to know that the patient has the Cinnamon Decoction pattern, however, they could then try Gui Zhi Tang. Once they knew it was effective, they could just use this. Yet the effect was beyond all expectation; no wonder the two doctors were surprised. Furthermore, the use of a single formula to obtain a complete cure show that those who only recognize "patterns" can equally well treat "diseases."
