Abstract
Renal colic is one of the urological emergencies. It is often caused by urinary stones, inflammation, tumor, etc. Among which, renal colic induced by upper urinary tract stones is the most commonly encountered type, characterized by episodes of acute onset of intense pain. We have adopted body and auricular acupuncture in treating 29 cases of renal colic caused by urinary stones.
