Abstract
Slow transit constipation (STC) is caused by insufficiency of mobility and declined peristalsis in the colon. The patients with long duration often suffer from stress and anxiety to varying degrees. Since September of 2008, we have studied the deep insertion at Tianshu (ST 25) for improving the clinical symptoms of colonic STC by adopting the internationally acknowledged clinical score system for constipation patients as the objective indexes for assessing the clinical symptoms and effects; as well as adopting Lactulose oral liquid, recommended at home and aboard and proved safe and effective as frontline medication by evidence-based medicine , for control study.
