Abstract
I have never been a fan of online learning, and until the pandemic had never been willing to offer online classes. But you know what they say: never say “never.” My hesitation has been based on a belief that I sill hold: the existence of a technology does not mean that it is in our best interests to use it. Rather, I advocate the “precautionary principle”—carefully assess the risks and benefits of a technology before investing time and money in its implementation.
