Abstract

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of combined moxibustion and Betahistine Hydrochloride for cervical vertigo. Methods: A total of 120 cervical vertigo cases were randomly allocated into an observation group and a control group, 60 cases in each group. The cases in the observation group were treated with combined moxibustion and Betahistine Hydrochloride, whereas the cases in the control group were treated with Betahistine Hydrochloride alone. Results: The intra-group comparison showed that the vertigo symptom and functional scores were significantly improved in both groups (P<0.01). After treatment, the vertigo symptom and functional scores in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.01). In addition, there were statistical significances in recovery and marked effect rates and total effective rates between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: Combined moxibustion and Betahistine Hydrochloride works better for cervical vertigo than Betahistine Hydrochloride alone.
