Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) represents a systemic autoimmune connective tissue disease with unknown etiology, manifested by chronic eroise-destructive arthritis, mainly symmetrical damage to metacarpus and metatarsus joints. It is closely related to the production of antibodies, specifically to the changes of y-globulin-rheumatoid factor (RF). The prevalence rate of RA is 1% with women 3-4 times as often as men. It may occur at any age but usually appears in the age of 35-45.
