Abstract

Cervical spondylosis, also called cervical syndrome, is a disease based on cervical degenerative changes. It resuls from cervical disc degeneration and subsequent changes, such as cervical instability and loosening, herniation or protrusion of nucleus pulposus, spur formation, ligament thickening, and ensuing cervical canal stenosis, which stimulate or compress adjacent nerve roots, spinal cord, cervical artery and sympathetic nerve, bringing about various symptoms and signs. In recent years, we had treated cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type (CSA) by massage and traction techniques.
